Faith 4

Value Experience:

"Learn more about the sacrament. Read about the Last Supper in Matthew 26:26-28, Mark14:22-24, and Luke 22:17-20. Establish a pattern of pondering during the sacrament hymn and prayers. Think about why we partake of the bread and water. After three weeks of following this pattern, write in your journal some of the promises you make as you partake of the sacrament and remember your baptismal covenants."

Scriptures:

Matthew 26:26-28:
26 ¶ And as they were eating, Jesus took abread, band blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my cbody.
27 And he took the acup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, bDrink ye all of it;
28 aFor this is my bblood of the new ctestament, which is shed for many for the dremission of sins.

Mark14:22-24:
22 ¶ aAnd as they did eat, Jesus took bbread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my cbody.
23 And he took the cup, and when he had given athanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of it.
24 And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.

Luke 22:17-20:
17 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves:
18 For I say unto you, I will not adrink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come.
19 ¶ And he took abread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my bbody which is cgiven for you: this do in dremembrance of me.
20 Likewise also the acup after supper, saying, This cup is the new btestament in my blood, which is shed for you.
